Welcome to the ADY Life Center.
Our mission is to help you thrive.

Hello, friend! You've found the ADY Life Center, the non-profit arm of Ain't Dead Yet: a movement inspiring joy every day, for everyone.

Getting through the tough stuff life throws at us is incredibly hard. We're here to help you truly thrive by finding a little joy despite what's swirling around you. Thrivership is about celebrating life right now, watching it all burn but figuring out you might as well make s'mores.

You're in the right place if...

    • You're dealing with or have had to handle a life-changing diagnosis, injury, or trauma
    • You're managing a chronic illness
    • You're processing the loss of someone you cared about deeply
    • You're a caregiver for someone who's dealing with these things
    and...
    • You'd love to have more joy, lightness, and laughter in your life
    • You want to celebrate that you're still here, despite everything
    • You're curious about how beautiful, hilarious moments can be had, even when things feel heavy
    • You want to be part of a community who "gets it" and looks for joy anyway

We know that when life is really, really hard, joy can seem very far away. Elusive. Fleeting. And that's totally OK. When the flames subside, we'll be here for you.

Checking boxes on the right only? Ain't Dead Yet is for you!

If your organization serves people who check the boxes above, we'd love to help add joy to what you offer them.

    How to unlock more joy

A little joy is the difference between just living and feeling alive. Here's what we offer to help you find it.

    Thriver Parades

A full-on, Mardi Gras-style celebration for people who've been through it. Because you're still here, and that's worth throwing a parade for.

    Joy Labs

Evidence-based group workshops exploring how to find joy through life's big changes, designed and facilitated by trained Thrivers.

    Thriver Krewes

Local communities where you can find your people, chat, and meet in real life. Krewes also host Joy Clubs, curated gatherings built around shared interests, because we all find joy differently, and having people nearby who really get it changes everything.

    The Joy Box

A collection of Thriver stories, joy science, curated resources, and more. Dip in whenever you need a little something good and uplifting. (Zero toxic positivity, promise.)

    Larry T, ADY Thriver
"Love this community. It provides a safe space to share experiences and celebrate small victories together."

    The science of joy

    Woo hoo! Not woo-woo.

Joy isn't just a good feeling. Research shows it has real, measurable effects on our health, our ability to cope, and how we recover from hard things.

At the ADY Life Center, we build all our programs and initiatives around peer-reviewed, scientific research. So you can feel confident that you're joining something that's proven and real.

    Here are some examples:

Small daily acts of joy, even just 5-10 minutes, lead to measurable improvements in wellbeing, stress and sleep quality.

"Grief and joy aren't opposites. Some days they just sit right next to each other. And that's allowed."

    For Organizations

If your organization supports people who are going through or have experienced trauma such as cancer, chronic illness, post-traumatic stress or other life changes, we'd love to explore how joy could add a little sparkle to the work you're already doing.

Joy is a proven tool in healing and recovery (scroll up this page for the science behind it).

And when our co-founder was going through breast cancer treatment, she found no support programs that focus on the mental side of recovery after your life has been turned upside down. There was no reminder to laugh again. To play again. To find joy, big or small. So she and her team built the ADY Life Center to fill this gap, and provide a dash of delight to how you serve your people.

From Thriver Parades to community gatherings and Joy Labs, our programming is evidence-based, patient-centered, and designed to deliver measurable impact from day one. With sprinkles.

"My heart needed the reminder that in the midst of all this crappy stuff, beautiful and hilarious moments can still be had."
